The Federal Reserve Bank of Mexico wanted to increase economic literacy for Mexican citizens. They renovated a circa 1678 building near the Zocolo District to house the new Museum and hired Weldon Exhibits to design and partially build an award-winning economics exhibition that started with the fundamentals differences between “want” verses “need”. We are all part of economy whether we put the money under the mattress or into a bank. A day in the life of a child shows all the intricacies and dependencies of society provided services. From the impact of economic scarcity to international finance, all topics are presented as group interactive experiences. Additionally, this project greatly benefitted from client led formative and summative evaluation.
The group interactive “market simulator” and the economic sustainability interactives captured international attention.
