Weldon Exhibits was engaged to design and fabricate a “first glimpse” of the future National Hot Rod Museum exhibitions for a new building to be built in 5 years.
The 1,200 SF area was transformed into the starting points for the future exhibition lobby including: Origins of the Hot Rod, Land Speed, CarCustomizers and Drag Racing. Weldon Exhibits created four immersive dioramas with inset graphic rails including videos and computer interactives and soundscapes. Each set-piece included: mural, historic vehicle, dynamic mannequins, and foreground elements along with the museum’s featured car collection.
