Weldon Exhibits Team (AS) worked closely with the SF Maritime Museum team to create all new exhibitions in the historic 1909 Haslett Warehouse, the Visitor Center immerses visitors in the vibrant evolution of San Francisco’s maritime heritage using photos, objects, songs, interactive elements, and thematic reconstructions. Highlights include:

A sweeping exhibit titled “The Waterfront: Sailors Called It Frisco,” which earned a National Interpretation Media Award. Visitors explore six recreated waterfront streets— from Yelamu village at the Golden Gate to Fisherman’s Wharf and the Barbary Coast—through soundscapes, stories, and artifacts tucked into facades and ship props.
